foreclosure house question …?
My mother married a man 8 years ago. He owned his house, so he moved there. Some things happened and I needed to refinance. Because we were married, she had to sign papers to refinance. 2 years after divorced. In the divorce reliquished all rights of property and debts. Now the house is forclosed and their ex-husbands lawyer is saying that my mother must filing bankruptcy in the house to stop going after her. The lawyer also said that she has to be in court by the end of this month. The court papers DO NOT list your name, they just say wife Jane Doe. It is full of the same lawyer and just trying to get money from my mom or she is actually responsible and they need to present the bancruptcy. Oh .. We live in Ohio, if that matters. Shes got an appointment with a lawyer … I just want to be a little prepared for what hes going to say ..
